SYBERIAN
CAT is an ensuing race in natural conditions which
comes from cold Russia. In Poland this race was registered
in 1998. This race can’t be crossed with different breeds.
The Siberian is medium/large, strong, muscular cat with
coat of medium length. The females weigh from 4 to 5kg,
while tomcats can grow to 7 or 8kilograms. The Siberian
takes 3-4 years to mature.
CHARACTER - a self-confidence
and power are hidden behind their outside peace. However
in spite of a strong character, the Siberian cat easily
is reaching an agreement with different animals. It likes
the play and children, is ingratiating and attached to
the owner. Correctly fed is standing out with shining
robes. The hair doesn’t require the special care, it will
be sufficient to comb it with brush time during the week
Siberian cats are PS very clean- it is one of the most
important virtues in home breeding.
HEAD - the head is a
modified wedge of medium size with rounded contours, broader
at the skull and narrowing slightly to a full rounded
muzzle with well-rounded chin. The strong and a little
bit bulging forehead harmonizes with the shape of a head.
NOSE - long, gentle nose
curvature of a gentle slope from the forehead to the nose
and a slight concave curvature before the tip.
EYES - large, slightly
oval shaped with rounded lower line, set slightly oblique
and wide apart. Eye colour to be uniform and harmonizing
with coat colour. Any shade from yellow/gold to green
is accepted.
EARS - medium-large ,
wide at base with slightly rounded tips. Set wide apart
and tilted slightly forward, tufted.
COAT - coat is of medium
length; very dense undercoat, soft and fine, covered by
a coarser, more substantial top coat. Coat is waterproof
and glossy. Particularly long hair on neck, chest, breeches
and tail.
TAIL - the tail is medium
in length, wide at the base, blunt at the tip without
ticking or kinks, evenly and thickly furnished.
LIMBS- the torso is extended, and hind a little bit longer
than front limbs. Medium-length, strong with big paws
and characteristic clumps of hair between fingers, protecting
little hands from the snow and the damp.
